Highly interactive online experiments using virtual X-ray equipment have been created for undergraduate students to learn fundamental principles underlying the analytical x-ray methods and become familiar with the design and operation of the X-ray equipment. A variety of visual, audio and traditional learning and assessment resources were integrated with online experiments to provide students with "just-in-time" learning opportunities.
The ATeL-XRL game-like virtual activities can be used for introducing sparking their interest in science and technologies to high school students and inspiring them to pursue a science or engendering career.
The v-Labs can be a useful tool for preparing personnel of x-ray laboratories to hands-on training and for performance-based assessing their knowledge and skills.
